Pugoween is an annual event where Wollongong Pugs gather to get dressed up in their best Halloween outfits and have a morning of fun all whilst raising money for charity.

After raising $163 at the 2015 Pugmas event for Saffron on the Hill, Wollongong Pugs made the change from raising money at Pugmas to raising money at Pugoween. 2016 saw the first Pugoween fundraiser for the #gongpugcrew where there were some great activities including showbags, cookies for humans and a raffle for sale. Wollongong Pugs raised $785 from the 2016 Pugoween with all of those funds going directly to Oscar’s Law to help with the fight against puppy farming in Australia.

2017 saw Pugoween grow in size making it the biggest Pugoween event to date. With many small local businesses donating to the fundraiser, Pugoween was another great success with showbags, cookies for humans, raffles and puguccinos for sale. 2017 saw Wollongong Pugs raise $745 to go directly to Pugs SOS who rescue pugs across Australia.

When you thought Pugoween couldn’t get any bigger or better, 2018 proved that wrong. More than 30 pugs and their humans came along for a morning of fun and spending. With 10 amazing raffle prizes, 29 showbags, 48 cookies for humans, puguccinos, a Photo Booth, 2 best dressed pug prizes plus loads of raffle tickets sold, Pugoween 2018 was a huge success. The receiving charity for 2018 was Pug Patrol Rescue Australia who came along with their stand for people to buy merchandise and meet the team including some pugs up for adoption. The morning raised $1,151 for Pug Patrol Rescue Australia who help rescue & rehome pugs across Australia.
